Giorgi Rurua remains in custody. Tbilisi City Court found a shareholder of the Mtavari Channel guilty and sentenced him to 4 years in prison. Judge Valerian Bugianishvili announced the decision a few minutes ago.
One of the Mtavari Channel shareholders, Giorgi Rurua, got arrested by law enforcers on November 18, 2019. The investigation charged Rurua with the crime under the third and fourth parts of Article 236 of the Criminal Code, which stipulates illegal purchase, possession, and carrying of firearms.
