Driver of bus that overturned near Lipetsk sentenced to imprisonment

A driver of a bus that overturned in the vicinity of Lipetsk Oblast has been sentenced to imprisonment. The local Prosecutor's Office says that as long as the driver is a citizen of Georgia, he may escape from court and investigators.

After inspecting the bus, the investigators reportedly noticed technical malfunctions.

On 26 December, a Moscow-Tbilisi bus reportedly slid on the icy road and overturned near Lipetsk Oblast, Russia. Eight passengers were injured in the accident, and two died, with both of them being Georgians.
