Officers of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regional Division of the Department of Environmental Supervision revealed 18 cases of illegal forest use.
In Martvili, Tsalenjikha, Senaki, Khobi, Chkhorotsku, Abasha, and Zugdidi municipalities, citizens illegally obtained and transported more than 63 m3 of different types of firewood.
Protocols on administrative violations were drawn up against the offenders.
The case materials were sent to the relevant district courts for further consideration.
