Police officers detained five foreign citizens at Kutaisi Davit Agmashenebeli International Airport and Batumi.
Detained citizens of the Republic of Turkey: H.B., born in 1996, B.I., born in 1992, I.Ch., born in 2002, and C.Ch., born in 1985, are charged with illegally crossing the state border of Georgia using forged documents. I.Sh., born in 1964, a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, was also charged with smuggling two or more migrants across the state border of Georgia.
The offenses carry a maximum sentence of 3 to 8 years in prison.
