Giorgi Rurua, the founder and shareholder of Mtavari Arkhi TV, has been sentenced to imprisonment. The defendant plans to appeal against the verdict.
"The judge rendered a predetermined decision. I have no clue how he sentenced the defendant to imprisonment when the firearm had clearly been planted on him," declared the defendant's lawyer Dimitri Sadzaglishvili and stressed that they will appeal against the verdict.
Giorgi Rurua was arrested for illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms.
