Politician Gogi Tsulaia was released from prison. Tbilisi City Court sentenced him to GEL 6,000 bail.
According to Tsulaia's lawyer, Valeri Gelbakhiani, new evidence was presented at the trial regarding his client's health condition. The court granted the motion and commuted the detention on bail.
Gogi Tsulaia was arrested on March 17. He was charged under Article 138 of the Criminal Code, which stipulates similar acts of sexual violence. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 4 to 6 years in prison.
