Interior Ministry solves Tkibuli town murder case

The officers of the Interior Ministry police department of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti have solved the murder case.

The premeditated murder occurred in western Georgia's town of Tkibuli on August 9, Georgia's Interior Ministry reports.

Following the ministry, a person, identified only as Z. Ch. is in detention for the murder.

The ministry reports that the detainee faced charges earlier for robbery and violence.

''The investigation showed that the detainee shot a person, identified as Z. S., born in 1986, for revenge in the village of Bziauri, Tkibuli district, at the central highway,'' Georgia's Interior Ministry reports.

Police officers arrested the detainee in the city of Kutaisi, western Georgia. The detainee faces from seven to 15 years in jail.

The investigation is in progress.
