Employees of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative measures carried out on the hot trail, arrested A.N., born in 1980, on charges of premeditated murder.
According to the agency, the offense carries a maximum sentence of 7 to 15 years in prison.
The investigation established that the accused fatally stabbed a guest R.K., born in 1965, in Borjomi, on the grounds of a dispute, in the chest, using a cold weapon.
As a result, the wound, the man died on the spot.
Law enforcers arrested A.N. on the hot spot at the scene. Police seized the weapon of the crime - a knife as evidence.
An investigation into premeditated murder was launched under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
