One person arrested on charges of possession and transportation of a large amount of excise goods

Employees of the Kvemo Kartli Division of the Investigation Department of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, as a result of operative-investigative measures and investigative actions, arrested one person for storing and transporting a large amount of excisable goods without excise stamp, the Investigation Service revels.

"As a result of the search, 800 excise-free PUFF electric cigarettes containing nicotine, intended for sale, with a market value of GEL 16,000 were found.

The investigation is underway under Article 200, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment for a term of 6 to 8 years," the Investigative Service reports.
