Tbilisi court sentenced Merab Beselia, Vice-President of Rugby Union, to jail. The court session was held in distance mode.
The defender asked for a release, offering 20,000 GEL bail, while prosecutors demanded imprisonment.
According to Merab Beselia’s defender, Paata Nekhrishvili, the accused recognizes the guilt and protests against the formulation.
The accused is charged the pre-meditated severe health harm of Ramaz Kharazishvili, the Shvidkatsa rugby team captain.
