Those arrested in the case of counterfeit passports remain in custody

Four people arrested in the case of forged passports remain in pre-trial detention. Defendants plead guilty, though they say they did not realize the guilt.

The prosecution requested the use of detention in the case of all four defendants. The defense asked the judge to release them on bail. According to the defendants, they decided to commit the crime due to their difficult social background.

Seven people were arrested yesterday for forging and selling counterfeit passports; three of them were later released.

The detainees face up to 3 years in prison if convicted.
