The Tbilisi City Court has given a prison sentence to two other defendants _ Geno Megrelishvili and Giorgi Khuchuashvili _ for subjecting Formula TV photographer Vakho Kareli to persecution as he performed his duties.
The next court hearing is set to be held at 2 pm on 2 September.
The MIA of Georgia informs that the defendants assaulted photographer Vakho Kareli on 5 July at the Tbilisi Pride event.
The photographer suffered a concussion and head trauma.
The perpetrators face the charges of preventing journalists from fulfilling their duties and persecuting them. They may spend from four to six years behind bars.
