Swiss diplomat Christian Danielsson, who has been delegated to mediate talks between the Georgian government and the opposition, will arrive in Georgia in a couple of hours.
Together with the EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell, Danielsson will try to reengage the conflicting parties into dialogue and help them break the political deadlock.
European Council President Charles Michel has sent Christian Danielsson to act as a mediator in Georgia after agreeing with Josep Borrell, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
