Conservative Party left Parliamentary Majority

Members of the Conservative Party left the Parliamentary Majority. Zviad Dzidziguri, he resigned from his position in the Parliament.

According to him the hope that the country would transition to a proportional system was diminished.

"To those who may say that we left the team when it needed us the most, we did not make such decision. This was decided by the 40 deputies who refused to support the constitutional amendments", Dzidziguri stated.

Along with Zviad Dzidziguri, Nino Goguadze and Giga Bukia were excluded from the Parliamentary Majority.

9 deputies left the Parliamentary Majority. They made the announcement after the bill on proportional electoral system at the plenary sitting was rejected.
