Delegation of Georgian Parliament holds meetings in Ankara

The delegation of the Parliament of Georgia has paid an official visit to Turkey's capital city of Ankara.

Nikoloz Samkharadze, the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, is heading the delegation.

Within the framework of the visit, the trilateral meeting between the chairpersons of Georgia-Turkey-Azerbaijan Parliament's Foreign Relations Committee has been conducted.

The delegation has also met the Turkey-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group.

The focus was on main regional cooperation areas, Black Sea region challenges and possible solutions, opportunities to strengthen ties, and new initiatives aiming to strengthen the trilateral cooperation.

They also discussed the current situation in the occupied regions and Turkey's support for Georgia's aspiration to join NATO.

Turkey reaffirmed its resolute support for Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. 

Within the visit, the meeting with the chairman of Milli Majlis of Turkey and the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee is also set to be conducted.
