Fighting till the end, the message Saakashvili wants to convey, UNM member says

UNM members have visited Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili in the penitentiary establishment.

Koba Nakopia, the party's executive secretary, said that the former president does not plan to end the hunger strike.

''I have seen him today in the best possible shape. He is ready to fight. Fighting till the end, this is the message he wants to convey and everyone to hear,'' Nakopia said.

Mikheil Saakashvili was detained on 1 October. He declared a hunger strike 18 days ago.
