Georgia Parliament to examine bill on amnesty

The Georgian parliament will examine and allegedly approve the bill “On amnesty.”

The bill provides for the release from criminal liability and appropriate punishment of accused and convicted persons who committed certain crimes before December 11, 2020.

Besides, the measure of restraint in the form of imprisonment for a term of 20 years will be changed for persons convicted of crimes under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia and sentenced to life imprisonment.
