Georgia's ex-president says he holds consultations with opposition

Georgia's fourth president Giorgi Margvelashvili confirms that he is involved in consultations with European Georgia, Lelo, and other left-wing political parties.

"I confirm I am holding consultations with European Georgia, Lelo, and other political parties. We are discussing the possibility of conducting a new parliamentary election without harming democracy and returning to those dark days of Soviet Georgia," Margvelashvili said, adding that the issue of forming a political union and his appearance on the political scene is now out of the question.
