Georgian and Turkish Presidents talk over phone on COVID-19 and other issues

President Zurabishvili has discussed the global pandemic and the current situation in Georgia and Turkey with her Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. 

Salome Zurabishvili thanked the Turkish leader for his active cooperation and assistance in returning Georgian citizens from Turkey to their homeland. 

The top officials agreed on the vital importance of the trade and transport corridors, as well as the Baku-Tbilisi-Karsi railway, especially in this state of affairs. 

The Georgian President suggested that Mr. Erdoğan visit Georgia after the crisis is tackled. 

Earlier, Salome Zurabishvili had a phone conversation with her Polish colleague.
