Giorgi Gakharia: There is no need for a state of emergency today

"With the reality we have, there is no need for a state of emergency today," the Prime Minister of Georgia said at a briefing.

According to Giorgi Gakharia, if there is a need tomorrow, the government will decide to declare a state of emergency.

"A state of emergency will not provide the government with tools that we do not have today. We have all we need to fight the virus effectively today," Gakharia said.

There are 34 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Georgia, of which one cured. 1008 people are in quarantine and 64 under inpatient care.
