Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili, who was transferred to the Rustavi penitentiary institution a while ago, has declared a hunger strike, public defender Nino Lomjaria told journalists.
According to Lomjaria, who has visited Saakashvili in prison, the latter deems himself a political prisoner and wants to meet the Ukrainian consul.
