"Convicted / Accused Third President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili refuses medical assistance," his Ukrainian doctor told reporters.
As the doctor explained after the meeting with Saakashvili, he made this decision as a sign of protest because he was not able to get full legal assistance.
"His decision to stop receiving medical treatment from doctors exacerbates health risks. He is still starving. He will not be allowed to defend himself legally, but he will continue to fight to the end. I do not know how to do this, but it is necessary for him to get medical help. It is necessary to monitor his data and control vital parameters constantly. I have all the tools, and I am ready to have a medical examination today," Maxim Perbinis said.
