New document presented by Charles Michel envisages snap elections

President of the European Council Charles Michel has presented a document to Georgian MPs regarding Georgia’s political situation.

The document applies to scheduling snap elections.

If the ruling Georgian Dream party receives less than 43% of the votes in the  2021 local elections, the conditions for holding early parliamentary elections will be determined.

The document did not include such a section earlier.

Political parties are discussing the issue.

Shortly, it will be reported a list of the parties agreeing with the document-proposed conditions.
