Ombudsman's representative: He was taken out of vehicle forcefully

Mikheil Ghoghadze, the representative of the ombudsman, has visited the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, in the Gldani penitentiary establishment.

In Ghoghadze's words, Mikheil Saakashvili was transported to Gldani prison in an emergency vehicle which he was forced to leave. ''He was taken out of the vehicle forcefully,'' the ombudsman's representative said. 

Justice Minister Rati Bregadze said earlier that ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili physically and verbally assaulted No18 penitentiary establishment employees. 

Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili was taken to Gldani prison a while ago.

According to preliminary information, Mikheil Saakashvili was transferred to Gori Military Hospital.

Saakashvili's mother said earlier that they ''made him vanish'' somewhere.

Ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili, who was detained on Oct 1, has been on a hunger strike for 39 days now.
