Oppositionist Elisashvili: It is just a tempest in a teapot

Oppositionist and Citizen Party leader Aleko Elisashvili says that a kerfuffle over amnesty is unnecessary and just a tempest in a teapot.

''Anyone willing to put forth new conditions now is seeking to turn down the agreement offered by Charles Michel. Putting forward conditions now is absolutely preposterous. I cannot see any stark difference between these two amnesty draft laws. People who were intentionally mutilating people, those, for example, who mutilated Mako Gomuri, cannot be amnestied. What can the amnesty law say? Can it guide us on how to develop the country economically?'' Mr. Elisashvili said.
