Parliament passes resolution on "De-occupation and the Peaceful Settlement of the Conflict"

The special resolution on "De-occupation and Peaceful Settlement of the Conflict" was supported by the Parliament with 91 votes against none.

"It is a very important resolution. I would like to thank each MP from both the ruling team and the opposition for supporting the resolution. This is really an issue on which party interests are sidelined, and united state interests become paramount," the Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Kakha Kuchava stated at the session.

The resolution refers to the decision of the Strasbourg court and contains a clear record that our country's partners must rely on this decision when they pursue their policy towards the territorial integrity of both Russia and Georgia. The document also emphasizes the right of safe and dignified return of hundreds of refugees and internally displaced persons to their homes.
