President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili has awarded the Medal of Honor to the late Irakli Kemoklidze's family for his contribution to protecting PWD's rights and raising the public's awareness on the issue.
The ceremony was held at the Orbeliani palace. The president remembered Irakli Kemoklidze's activities and said that he is a symbol of activism and fight in Georgia's modern history.
Simon Petridis, the Advisor to the President on Issues of PWD, defined the president's decision to award deceased Kemoklidze's family on International Human Rights day as an important decision.
