The President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili laid a wreath at the April 9 Memorial and paid tribute to the memory of those killed on April 9, 1989.
"Respect for the heroes of April 9 is not only expressed by coming here today and bringing tulips. We honor the spirit of April 9th, which is unity, solidarity, and full awareness of independence! Therefore, I ask you to respect this day together with silence and sincerity," the President of Georgia said.
