Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Governor Alexander Motserelia resigns. The Public Relations Service of the State Representative confirmed the information to report.ge.
According to them, Motserelia will leave the post on August 1. Malkhaz Toria, his first deputy governor, will be acting governor.
Alexander Motserelia was nominated by Georgian Dream as Abasha-Martvili-Tsalenjikha-Chkhorotsku's majoritarian candidate.
Alexander Motserelia has been holding the position of the Governor of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti since August 2018.
