According to the State Security Service of Georgia, they are trying to release Georgian citizen Malkaz Janelidze, who was illegally detained near the occupied Vaneli village, from custody.
The EU Monitoring Mission hotline is actively involved in the process. Also, Geneva Discussion Co-Chairs are engaged in the process.
''The responsibility for illegal detentions in the territory of occupied regions and other destructive actions shall be assigned to the Russian Federation,'' the SSS statement reads.
