"Mikheil Saakashvili confirmed that the main purpose of the June 20 events was a coup and overthrowing the government," Tea Tsulukiani, the Minister of Justice said in response to a statement made by Mikheil Saakashvili, the former President of Georgia.
"It is vital that the investigation is interested in Saakashvili's statement. We have already seen clearly that Georgian Dream authorities and law enforcement officials were able to protect parliament from illegal events," Tsulukiani said.
Mikheil Saakashvili, the former President of Georgia, made an on-air comment, saying: "Bidzina Ivanishvili was on the verge of being toppled on June 20 of 2019. In my view, the opportunity to overthrow this government was missed then."
