Tusk urges colleagues to discuss with PM Gharibashvili release of jailed Georgian ex-leader

Donald Tusk, the President of the European People's Party, calls upon his European colleagues to discuss the release of jailed Georgian ex-leader Mikheil Saakashvili at the EaP summit. 

''Today, when the EaP Summit takes place, I urge my European colleagues to discuss with the Georgian Prime Minister the release of Saakashvili, the 3rd Georgian President who launched talks on the EU-Georgia Association Agreement,'' Tusk tweeted. 

Hunger-striking president Mikheil Saakashvili was transferred to the military hospital on Nov 20. He was detained on Oct 1.
