UK ambassador: Launching vaccination important milestone in fight against pandemic

British Ambassador to Georgia Mark Clayton has responded to Georgia getting its first coronavirus vaccine with his following Twitter post: 

"Good to see 1st batch of Covid 19 vaccines arriving in Georgia this weekend from COVAX facility. I am proud that the UK is largest contributor to #COVAX, a platform that enables equal access to vaccines 4 all. Launching vaccination is an important milestone in fight against the pandemic," the ambassador tweeted. 

Vaccination in Georgia has started today, with the Deputy Head of the NCDC Paata Imnadze, Clinical Director at the Infectious Disease Hospital Marina Ezugbaia, Department Head at Tbilisi Hospital of Infectious Diseases, Marina Endeladze, Head of the Central Republican Hospital Levan Gopodze, Head of the Burn Center Guga Kashibadze, and others having already been vaccinated.
