US Department Spokesperson starts briefing focusing on Georgia

The United States Department of State has once again responded to the political situation in Georgia. Spokesperson Ned Price started the briefing by focusing on Georgia's current developments.

We are starting with Georgia today. The US is deeply concerned with the arrest of opposition leader Nika Melia and other opposition members. We call upon each party to exercise restraint. The government must abide by the principles of democracy, freedom, and law by ensuring a politically unbiased court. The US will support a democratic and successful country. We will keep working with Georgia," Ned Price said.

UNM head Nika Melia was detained on Feb 23.
