Droa political party leader Elene Khoshtaria has responded to Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili's appeal by releasing a special statement saying that she has no plans to call off the hunger strike until Saakashvili is taken to a multi-functional clinic.
''I wish to show my gratitude to Mikheil Saakashvili for his words addressed to me; I understand him, and if I were him, I would have acted similarly. Any person's hunger strike is hard to watch.
I have not made my decision because somebody has instructed me to do so. I have my own requirement _ I do not want a threat to be posed to Mikheil Saakashvili's health,''she said, adding that it is up to the Georgian Dream to damp down tensions and lead the country out of the crisis.
Mikheil Saakashvili has called upon political Koshtaria, who has been on a hunger strike for 9 days now, to end it.
