Antibodies fail against new COVID-19 strain: Nature

Scholars of the US research center for oncologic diseases have discovered a new mutation of the coronavirus.

As scholar Fred Hutchinson says, no antibodies are generated in a human body when infected with the new strain.

As Nature reports, the scientists found out the mutation that had hidden the virus.

It means that antigen-based tests cannot discover the mutated virus using the antigens.

Scientists also note that all the existing coronavirus antigens can do nothing against the new type of mutation.

Reports say the new strain of the coronavirus has been discovered in Denmark and the Netherlands.
