Robot created by Georgian 7th grader wins international recognition

Shota Beridze, a seventh-grader from Georgia, has been ranked first in the United States International Competition, with his robot having won international recognition. A total of 80 countries participated in the competition, but Georgia was ranked first. 

Shota Beridze is in the seventh grade of V. Komarov Physics&Mathematics school and now lives in Tbilisi without his parents. He entered Komarovi Campus School this year; earlier the boy attended a public school in his village of Gamarjveba, Gardabani municipality. 

In the beginning, the up-and-coming young inventor went to Komarov Saturday school once a week only and visited Tbilisi to master the field of robotics. Finally his creation managed to gain international recognition.
