Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 109 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 500 people were tested.
A total of 157 patients are now under treatment at the three COVID centers in the region, 31 patients with severe COVID-19.
The occupied region has so far registered 6,313 cases, 4,257 recoveries, and 84 deaths.
