Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 34 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 261 people were tested.
A total of 54 patients are now under treatment at the five COVID centers in the region, with nine patients in critical condition.
The occupied region has so far registered 13,121 cases, 12,560 recoveries, and 205 deaths.
