Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 53 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 270 people were tested.
A total of 116 patients are now under treatment at the five COVID centers in the region, with 15 patients in critical condition.
The occupied region has so far registered 14,461 cases, 13,517 recoveries, and 222 deaths.
