Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 109 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 457 people were tested.
A total of 223 patients are now under treatment at the five COVID centers in the region, 21 patients with severe COVID-19.
The occupied region has so far registered 6,924 cases, 5,096 recoveries, and 93 deaths.
