Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 55 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 271 people were tested.
A total of 161 patients are now under treatment at the six COVID centers in the region, with 26 patients in critical condition.
The occupied region has so far registered 11,988 cases, 11,307 recoveries, and 189 deaths.
