Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 98 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 428 people were tested.
A total of 233 patients are now under treatment at the five COVID centers in the region, 25 patients with severe COVID-19.
The occupied region has so far registered 6,815 cases, 5,004 recoveries, and 92 deaths.
