Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 53 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 404 people were tested.
A total of 97 patients are now under treatment at the Gudauta hospital, with 23 in critical condition.
The occupied region has so far registered 15,165 cases, 14,360 recoveries, and 230 deaths.
