Georgia's breakaway region of Abkhazia recorded 39 new cases of the novel coronavirus in a single day after 246 people were tested.
A total of 113 patients are now under treatment at the five COVID centers in the region, with 23 in critical condition.
The occupied region has so far registered 14,834 cases, 13,832 recoveries, and 224 deaths.
