Allergist/Immunologist Bidzina Kulumbegov says that the country's healthcare system must take the corresponding measures to provide citizens with post-COVID care in special clinics, which must be created.
In Kulumbegov's words, patients who recovered from severe COVID-19 must be subject to special observation and supervision.
According to the specialist, guidelines instructing similar patients how often they must visit doctors, be subjected to computer tomography, and other procedures exist. "The country must already start carrying out the corresponding measures as we are one of the hard-hit nations globally," he said, adding that the country's Infectious Diseases AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center plans to study 500 citizens having recovered from the novel virus.
