"The alarming situation which involved only China now spread all over the world. That's why every country must be ready," Amiran Gamkrelidze, the Head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, stated. According to him, the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus epidemic a global threat.
By the end of the day, the World Health Organization will develop recommendations for 53 countries of the world, which will apply to Georgia as well. Gamkrelidze stated that Georgia follows all recommendations so far.
According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, there are no cases of coronavirus at this stage in Georgia.
