Amiran Gamkrelidze: More people were ready for vaccination in November

"The number of people who are ready to get the COVID vaccine varies from 50% to 60%," the head of the Center for Disease Control Amiran Gamkrelidze stated at a briefing after the meeting of the Coordination Council.

According to Gamkrelidze, compared to November-December, the positive attitude towards the vaccine has decreased.

"In November, this figure was higher. People had more hope because then the mortality rate increased, and the situation was difficult, then the numbers decreased. It is not just about the COVID vaccine; as you know, the anti-vaccine movement is very strong in the world. In my opinion, one of the main reasons for this is the lack of correct information among the population," Gamkrelidze said.
