Bidzina Kulumbegov: Any large space could be converted into hospital

According to allergist-immunologist Bidzina Kulumbegov, if the number of people infected with coronavirus in the country increases dramatically, any large space may be converted into a hospital.

Kulumbegov noted that this is an international practice, and if hospitals no longer have the resources to receive new patients, it would be a normal thing to do.

"In case of a large number of patients, there will simply be no room in hospitals," Kulumbegov told Report.ge.

According to the doctor, this step will be an extreme measure because there are a sufficient number of hospitals in Georgia.

"I do not think there is a need for additional buildings. There are more hospitals in Georgia than we need in peacetime," said the doctor.
