A conflict has occurred between law enforcers and protesters outside the Cinema Apollo Batumi at which the film by Levan Akin is being premiered. The protesters have not been allowed inside the cinema building, which is why they egged it and set off firecrackers.
"And Then We Danced" feature directed by Swedish filmmaker of Georgian origin Levan Akin has drawn threats and sparked protests in the country because it is about gay love and tells the story of Merab, a young dancer with a traditional Georgian ballet company who falls in love with fellow dancer and rival Irakli.
